Sayo Kamara is an Associate Director on the commercial leasing team at The Durst Organization. Prior to joining Durst, Kamara was a Senior Associate at Cushman and Wakefield and was an Associate Director at Colliers.
With nearly a decade of experience working with commercial tenants and owners, Sayo has been recognized for excellence in real estate by Crain’s New York Business, Business Insider, Commercial Observer, and CREi.
Sayo is deeply passionate about giving back to the community and creating opportunities for underrepresented youth. He was the first African American to join the board of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association, where he most recently served as Vice Chairman. Sayo also served as the Co-President of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club’s Junior Board. Sayo studied Finance at the University of North Texas and is a graduate of Project REAP, a program initiative fostering the advancement of historically underrepresented professionals in the commercial real estate industry.
