New Restaurant Concept From the Team Behind Momoya to Open at One Bryant Park

New York, NY (February 18, 2025) – The Durst Organization today announced that the team behind the Japanese dining destination Momoya has signed a lease for a new restaurant concept on the ground floor of One Bryant Park. The 5,000-square-foot space will be home to an elevated Japanese restaurant concept and feature indoor and outdoor dining.

“For the first time since we opened One Bryant Park, the spectacular restaurant space at the base of the building became available last year. When we met the team behind Momoya, we knew their vision would be a perfect fit for the Bryant Park neighborhood – one of the most in-demand office and travel destinations in New York City,” said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

"We're thrilled to bring our new project to One Bryant Park. Given the architectural distinction and substantial commercial potential of the location, we are aiming to create a premier Japanese restaurant and landmark dining destination in NYC,” said KwangHo Lee, President of Momoya.

Lee operates three locations of the beloved Japanese restaurant Momoya, an elevated kaiseki restaurant Kappo Sono in Union Square and three outposts of the casual sushi concept Happy Tuna. The restaurant at One Bryant Park is expected to open later this year with a new dining concept and a redesign of the space.

The 100% leased One Bryant Park was the first skyscraper in North America to achieve LEED Platinum certification, ranking among the most environmentally advanced skyscrapers in the world. The 2.35-million-square-foot, 51-story office tower was conceived with the vision of creating the highest quality modern workplace emphasizing daylight, filtered air, and is directly across from Bryant Park, one of the most popular public spaces in New York City. The development of One Bryant Park included the opening of a public urban garden and the restoration of the historic Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

One Bryant Park is located in the heart of the desirable Bryant Park submarket, where there is very low office availability. The building is fully occupied by Bank of America and Akin. Additional ground-floor retailers include Burger & Lobster, a Bank of America branch, Verizon, and Starbucks. The building is one of The Durst Organization’s premier office towers at Bryant Park along with 1133 Avenue of the Americas, 1155 Avenue of the Americas, and One Five One West 42nd Street.

The Durst Organization was represented in house by Tom Bow, Rocco Romeo, and Nora Caliban. Momoya was represented by Christopher Owles of Sinvin Real Estate.
