The Durst Organization Announces Leasing Launch at 20 and 30 Halletts Point in Astoria

647 residential units and new public waterfront esplanade opening this spring along the picturesque Astoria waterfront

ASTORIA, NEW YORK (January 15, 2025) – The Durst Organization announced today the launch of leasing for 20 and 30 Halletts Point. A luxurious haven designed for sustainability and comfort, 20 and 30 Halletts Point offer 647 modern studio, one, and two-bedroom light-filled homes with spectacular views, abundant amenities, and vibrant green spaces in Astoria. The first move-ins and the opening of the new public waterfront esplanade are slated for spring 2025.

Residences

Comfortable, modern apartments are designed to embrace personal wellbeing. The homes are outfitted with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified light oak wood flooring, Italian wood cabinets, quartz countertops, ENERGY STAR appliances, high-quality air filtration, and double-pane floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum natural light and quiet. Every residence features black-out shades in the bedrooms, transparent shades in living rooms for natural light, a washer and dryer, and an app-adjustable smart thermostat system for individually-controlled heating and air conditioning. Clean lines and light colors are used to visually tie the building to the water, with white double height frames that anchor the base and light silver glass above to pick up the colors of the river and sky. Inside, spaces are connected gracefully in a light palette that reflects the sun on the river. Lobby walls are clad in vertical wooden slats, floors are a light Terrazzo. Amenities

The 39,000 square feet of amenities offer convenience, wellness, and recreation. A shared amenity program gives residents the option to access all amenity spaces across 10, 20, and 30 Halletts Point. An outdoor terrace features a pool with sweeping city and river views, sun lounges, BBQ grills, and outdoor dining. The state-of-the-art fitness center offers a yoga studio, boxing studio, cardio training area, and robust strength training equipment. Lounges include a game room, recording studio, card room, multi-sport room, and coworking with private phone booths and bookable conference rooms. The Tot Spot has indoor and outdoor play spaces.

Waterfront Esplanade

The opening of 20 and 30 Halletts Point in the spring will include the first phase of the 58,000-square-foot public waterfront esplanade designed by Starr Whitehouse. With spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and bustling activity on the East River, the esplanade will feature a playground, picnic area, and a variety of attractive seating.

Sustainability

20 and 30 Halletts Point are expected to achieve LEED Platinum certification. As part of the construction process, 84% of construction debris was diverted away from landfills. The Durst Organization and construction manager Urban Atelier Group also included recycled ground glass pozzolan in the foundations and superstructure to reduce waste and concrete embodied carbon. An on-site water filtration plant and efficient fixtures reduce the buildings’ potable water use by 56%. The treatment plant will recycle 30,000 gallons of water per day. There are also 3,500 square feet of green roofs to reduce water runoff.

Neighborhood

Known for its rich culinary scene, Astoria is a welcoming community featuring an. array of restaurants, cultural institutions, and attractions. Manhattan is easily accessible by ferry and via a convenient private shuttle to the N and W subway lines. The area is well served by four bus lines (Q18, Q19, Q102 & Q103). A supermarket, Brooklyn Harvest Market, is located across the street at the base of 10 Halletts Point. 8,000 square feet of new ground-floor retail at 20 and 30 Halletts Point will bring additional amenities and services to the neighborhood.

The first major phase of the Halletts Point development, 10 Halletts Point, opened in 2019 with 405 residential rental units and is now almost entirely leased. 20 and 30 Halletts Point mark the second major phase of The Durst Organization’s Halletts Point development.
