Pueblo Querido Coffee Roasters Opens at Sven, The Durst Organization's Premier Residential Tower in Long Island City

Long Island City, NY (July 8, 2024)— The Durst Organization announced today that Pueblo Querido Coffee Roasters, a Colombian culinary and coffee adventure, has opened its first Queens location on the ground floor of Sven, Durst’s 71-story residential tower at Queens Plaza in Long Island City. Founded in 2015 by Christian Felipe Guzman Herrera, Pueblo Querido celebrates its rich contribution to the Colombian coffee tradition.

In addition to fair trade organic coffee and fresh roasted beans, Pueblo Querido also offers Colombian delicacies such as arepas de choclo (flat corn cakes) and pandebono (yuca-based sweet buns with cheese). Pueblo Querido also serves empanadas that are baked from scratch throughout the day. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 5pm, Saturday from 7am to 6pm, and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.

Pueblo Querido joins a curated retail environment at the base of Sven including Finback Brewery and ACA Acupuncture and Wellness (ACA), one of the leading Chinese medicine practices in the United States.

Sven, the second tallest tower in Queens, opened in early 2022 and leased-up in just one year. The tower’s ideal location with access to eight subway lines, unique design, and 50,000 square feet of amenities and sustainability features have made it one of the most sought-after addresses in NYC. The building features 958 apartments and was designed by Handel Architects.
