New York, NY (October 4, 2023) – The Durst Organization today announced that Springbone Kitchen (Springbone), the fast casual restaurant celebrated for its bone broth, has chosen [1155 Avenue of the Americas] (https://www.durst.org/properties/1155-avenue-of-the-americas) for its next outpost. Occupying nearly 2,000 square feet on the ground floor and lower level, Springbone is poised to bring another popular lunch option to this premier property in the vibrant heart of Midtown Manhattan.
“We are delighted to welcome Springbone Kitchen to 1155 Avenue of the Americas,” said **Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization**. “We are always looking for retail partners that will benefit the companies working in our buildings, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. The addition of Springbone at 1155 will mean more diverse, healthy options in Midtown.”
"It feels particularly rewarding to be opening this new location right in the heart of Midtown," **said Sam Eckstein, Co-Founder of Springbone Kitchen**. "Our mission, to provide healthy and nourishing food in a quick service format, was inspired by our early professional careers, working long hours in Midtown. We know firsthand how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy diet while working in this fast-paced environment. We're excited to bring our unique offering of healthy, convenient, and delicious meals to this neighborhood where it all started for us."
Springbone has established itself as a fast-casual chain synonymous with quality and simplicity, delivering food that tastes and feels just like it was made in a home kitchen. Their menu of bone broths and bowls are entirely gluten- and seed oil-free and made from 100% grass-fed meats.
1155 Avenue of the Americas, a best-in-class 42-story office tower in Midtown, stands prominently on the western blockfront of Avenue of the Americas between 44th and 45th Streets. 1155 is also home to Gumption Coffee, recently named one of Eater’s “15 Essential New York City Coffee Shops,” and Dill & Parsley which offers Mediterranean meals with fresh, natural ingredients.
The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Rocco Romeo and Nora Caliban and by Brad Schwarz and JP Sutro of Lee & Associates NYC. Springbone was represented by Jon Spadafino and Adam Langer of SRS Brokerage.
The Durst Organization completed a $130 million transformation at the property with significant architectural enhancements including a unique landscaped entry plaza on West 44th Street, a dramatic, award-winning light-filled lobby with reception desks clad in distinctive back-lit sea glass, turnstile security access, destination dispatch elevator controls, newly appointed elevator cabs, and luminous chamfered corners.
1155 Avenue of the Americas was the first building in New York City with thermal ice storage as well as the first to receive the Existing Buildings Operations Maintenance (EBOM) LEED Gold rating.
Office tenants include Global Relay, which leased multiple floors at the top of the building to expand its presence in New York City, Perkins Coie, Jenner & Block, Baird, Cornell University, and Verizon. Earlier this year, The Durst Organization announced it will also relocate its corporate offices to newly renovated space at 1155 to accommodate company growth.
