New York, NY – June 21, 2023 –The Durst Organization today announced that [Child Mind Institute] (https://childmind.org/), the leading independent nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children struggling with mental health and learning disorders, is taking 81,810 square feet at [825 Third Avenue] (https://www.825thirdavenue.com/). With a dedicated ground floor entrance and the entirety of the second to fifth floors, the nonprofit will create a “building within a building” at 825 Third.
“Our clinical care, education, and scientific research efforts have all needed to expand in response to the ongoing crisis in children’s mental health. Koplewicz, MD, President and Medical Director of the Child Mind Institute.
“It’s rewarding to see our vision for the revitalization of 825 Third come to life as Child Mind Institute joins our expanding roster of respected tenants,” said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.
“The Child Mind Institute was drawn to 825 Third’s design, amenities, and sustainable practices, and their addition to the building is a testament to the transformation of 825 Third as a top-tier, A+ office tower,” said Ashlea Aaron, Senior Managing Director of Commercial Leasing at The Durst Organization.
The 530,000-square-foot 825 Third is being thoroughly reimagined through a $150 million capital improvement program focused on performance, tenant comfort, modern aesthetics, and operational efficiency.
