Global Investment Firm Francisco Partners Takes 11,000 Square Feet and Law Firm Jenner & Block Signs for an
Additional 5,600 Square Feet at 1155 Avenue of the Americas
The Durst Organization today announced that Francisco Partners has signed a six‐year lease for 11,000 square
feet on the 28th floor of 1155 Avenue of the Americas. The global investment firm is moving their offices from
the Grace Building on Avenue of the Americas. And Jenner & Block signed a 15‐year lease for 5,600 square
feet on the balance of the 28th floor. The law firm leased the four floors directly above last year; and this
expansion brings their footprint at the property to over 72,000 square feet.
1155 is LEED v4 Gold certified under the EBOM rating system (Existing Buildings Operations Maintenance) and
has undergone a $130 million capital transformation into a 21st Century Class “A” trophy property. 1155’s
upgrades include a new lobby and plaza designed by STUDIOS Architecture, new elevator cabs with
destination dispatch controls, new windows throughout and enhanced floor‐to‐ceiling glass that takes
advantage of the building’s four chamfered corners offering unparalleled views. 1155 Avenue of the Americas
was completed in 1984 and designed by Emery Roth & Sons. It was the first building in New York City with
thermal ice storage and first to receive EBOM LEED rating.
“We are pleased to welcome both Francisco Partners and Jenner & Block to the 28th floor of 1155 Avenue of
the Americas,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization. “We are witnessing a
compelling trend in the leases at 1155 as it takes its place as a Bryant Park and Sixth Avenue trophy
asset. Nearly all our new leases are coming from Avenue of the Americas submarket, opening their first
Manhattan office or expanding their footprint within the property. And when Jenner first signed in 2021, they
joined the growing law firm community at the property.”
Francisco Partners was represented by Newmark’s Eric Cagner, executive managing director and Alex Leopold
Jenner & Block was represented by vice chairman Lewis Miller, executive vice president Jason Gorman and
senior vice president Zachary Weil of CBRE. The Durst Organization was represented in‐house by executive
vice president Tom Bow and senior vice president Rocco Romeo. Associate director Tanya Grimaldo also
represented Durst on the Francisco Partners.
