Helena Rose Durst is a Principal of The Durst Organization, overseeing special projects, partnerships, philanthropy, and collections.
Helena started at Durst in 2001 leasing residential, office, and retail spaces. Her interest in sustainability led her to develop green cleaning and composting programs for the portfolio. Helena also created the company’s Residential Leasing Department, overseeing the ground-up management and leasing of several projects including 57 WEST, EŌS, 10 Halletts Point, and Historic Front Street.
She previously served as Co-President of the New York Water Taxi / Circle Line Downtown, a former Durst-affiliated maritime company that carried 1.5 million passengers annually in the New York Harbor. Helena began her career interning at The Hudson River Park Trust.
Active in the NYC real estate and environmental community, Helena is involved with the Real Estate Board of New York, Citizen’s Budget Commission, Lincoln Center Real Estate and Construction Council, and the New York City Parks Enforcement Mounted Auxiliary Unit.
Helena studied Real Estate at Baruch College and interned indexing The Seymour B. Durst Old York Library collection housed in the Avery Architectural & Fine Arts Library at Columbia University.
