New York, NY (February 6, 2024) – The Durst Organization today announced nearly 60,000 square feet of recent lease renewals and expansions at three of the company’s Third Avenue properties in Midtown East, continuing a string of successful leasing activity on the corridor.

At 655 Third Avenue, [Shinkin Central Bank] (https://www.shinkin-central-bank.jp/e/about/) (SCB), the central financial institution in Japan for the nationwide network of Shinkin banks, renewed 3,552 square feet for 10 years. [Catalonia Trade & Investment] (https://catalonia.com/), the Catalan Government’s agency assisting international firms to invest in Barcelona-Catalonia, extended the agency’s 3,077-square-foot lease. Financial management firm [Daventry Group] (https://www.daventrygroup.com/) renewed 1,818 square feet. SCB was represented by Tatsuru Kono of Newmark, Catalonia was represented by Stephan Steiner of Savills, and Daventry Group was represented by Evan Margolin and Scott Ansel of Savills.
At 675 Third Avenue, [Karbone, Inc.] (https://www.karbone.com/), a fully integrated financial services firm specializing in the renewable energy and decarbonization markets, has expanded the firm’s footprint with an eight-year, 8,496-sqaure-foot lease. Boutique law firm [Edward H. Burnham, Esq.] (http://nbclaw.com/), renewed 7,286 square feet while international trade lawyers and consultants [Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A.] (https://www.strtrade.com/) renewed 1,193 square feet. Karbone, Inc. was represented by Stephen Gordon and Nate Kropp of Newmark, Edward Burnham, Esq. was represented by Bert Rosenblatt of Cresa, and Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A. was represented by Lisa Kiell of JLL.
At 733 Third Avenue, real estate investment firm [The Praedium Group] (https://praediumgroup.com/) renewed 7,442 square feet. Premier real estate law firm [Rosenberg & Estis] (https://www.rosenbergestis.com/) expanded its office by 6,478 square feet. Healthcare industry advisor [Marwood Group] (https://www.marwoodgroup.com/) renewed 18,960 square feet of space for 11 years. The Praedium Group was represented by Stephan Berliner and Peter Cipriano of Savills and Marwood Group was represented by Dennis Someck and Justin Myers of Lee & Associates.

655 Third Avenue features double glazed windows that deflect glare and reduce heat gain, and 4,775 square feet of green roofs. The building achieved GOLD certification under LEED v4 Existing Buildings: Operations + Maintenance, reflecting the successful implementation of Durst’s portfolio-wide sustainable policies and procedures. Tenants in the building include Empire State Development, which recently signed a 117,000-square-foot lease to relocate its headquarters to five full floors in the building, as well as Abacus Group and the Big East Conference.
675 Third Avenue offers sweeping city and river views through modern energy-efficient windows. Capital improvements also include a landscaped entry plaza with zinc-green walls, renovated lobby, and redesigned elevator cabs. Tenants in the building include Consumer Reports, Tandym Group, Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, and International Trademark Association.
At 733 Third Avenue, new destination dispatch elevators are being installed. The tower also underwent a building-wide window replacement with UV-protected clear insulated glass to enhance views and promote natural light. The property features 7,107 square feet of green roofs and exclusive outdoor terraces for tenants to enjoy. The building achieved LEED GOLD certification in 2018 under LEED v4 Existing Buildings: Operations + Maintenance. Tenants include Eisner Amper and Fujitsu.
