Jonathan Drescher is the Senior Vice President of Project Development for The Durst Organization, where he is responsible for leading ground-up, commercial, residential and institutional new development projects.
Since joining The Durst Organization in 2008, Jonathan has overseen several projects through the development process from entitlement through construction. He recently led and completed the development of the 370,000 square foot mixed use University Center for The New School at 14th Street and Fifth Avenue. Current projects include VIA 57 WEST, a 709-unit residential building at 625 West 57th Street; EŌS, a 550,000 square foot mixed-use building at 855 Sixth Avenue and the 2,000 unit Halletts Point developments in Astoria, Queens.
Prior to joining The Durst Organization, Jonathan worked for 20 years in development, planning, and consulting in commercial/ institutional/residential real estate, infrastructure and transportation sectors.
Jonathan holds a Masters of Architecture Degree from UCLA and graduated cum laude from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA., with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a registered architect in New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. Jonathan serves on the State Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters and as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for the New York Building Foundation.
